Jody Stallings, Director

Mr. Stallings has been a Charleston county educator since 1992. He teaches English at Moultrie Middle School. He received a BA and MA in English from the College of Charleston. He is also an adjunct professor of English with the American Public University System. He has received several awards for excellence in teaching including Charleston County Schools Teacher of the Year, Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year, CEA runner-up for National Educator of the Year, College of Charleston Alumnus of the Year, WCSC Golden Apple Award, American Public University Teaching Excellence Award, Teacher Leader of the Lowcountry, and certification by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. He is a member of the RAND American Teaching Panel and writes the weekly newspaper column Teacher to Parent. He is the author of the novels White Lake​ and Shadow Point Skies.

Michelle Nichols, Assistant Director and Treasurer

Mrs. Nichols has been a Charleston county educator since 2003. She teaches science at Moultrie Middle School. She received a BS in Elementary Education and an MED in Math and Science Education from the College of Charleston. She is certified by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards and endorsed in the area of Gifted and Talented. In her first year of teaching, she won the Rookie Teacher of the Year Award for Charleston County. She is the 2015 recipient of the Moultrie Middle School Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching. In 2018 she was named Teacher of the Year for Moultrie Middle School.
